My Experience

My experience has included caring for babies, toddlers and school-aged children, helping them feel secure, settled and confident in my care. I understand the importance of adapting my approach to suit each child’s individual personality, interests, age and stage of development. I am confident supporting children with their routines while also encouraging independence, curiosity and positive behaviour.Before becoming a mum, I gained valuable experience working part-time with families and developing strong relationships with both children and parents. After having my own children, I continued working part-time alongside raising my family. This allowed me to build on my childcare experience while also gaining first-hand knowledge of the demands of family life, including managing busy routines, balancing different needs and creating a calm and organised home environment.
Becoming a mum myself has given me an even deeper understanding of children’s individual needs, personalities and developmental stages. It has also strengthened my patience, organisation and ability to remain calm and reassuring in different situations. I appreciate how important it is for parents to feel confident that their children are safe, happy and well cared for.
Throughout my experience, I have enjoyed creating fun, nurturing and engaging environments where children feel comfortable and encouraged to learn. I like planning activities around children’s interests, including outdoor play, trips to the park, creative and imaginative play, baking, crafts, reading and age-appropriate learning activities. I also enjoy supporting children with their social skills, confidence and independence through everyday experiences.
I am comfortable helping with children’s daily routines, preparing simple meals and snacks, keeping play areas tidy and ensuring that children’s needs are met throughout the day. I understand the importance of clear communication with parents and am happy to provide updates about the children’s activities, progress, routines and general wellbeing.
Now that my youngest child has started school full-time, I’m excited to return to nannying on a more regular basis and find a lovely family with whom I can build a long-term relationship. I’m looking for a family who values warmth, reliability, trust and open communication.
I’m patient, dependable and genuinely passionate about childcare. My aim is to become a trusted and valued part of a family’s life, providing children with the same care, attention and reassurance I would want for my own.
