Position details: Nanny/Mothers Help- Permanent Live in or Live out – mixture of shared care and sole charge
My Requirements
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7am to 7pm (Flexibility for the right candidate, potential to have hours off in the day to do as you wish) We may require very occasional evening and weekend work, which would be booked in advance and reimbursed in days off in lieu or paid overtime (Nannie’s preference).
Driver: Essential – Car provided for nursery duties and sole use
This is a wonderful opportunity for the right person to become fully immersed within our fun loving family assisting Mum and Dad with the care of our two children aged 4 & 7 in a nanny/mothers help role. This is a really varied, hands on position
We are looking for an experienced warm-hearted individual who will provide a stimulating and playful environment to ensure our children have a calm and safe environment to develop their love of learning and outdoor activities.
We are keen for the individual to be very much an extension of our family and to be an important part of our child’s development over the coming years.
We live in a a lovely village within easy access to the historic city of Lincoln. Nottingham is nearby and London is easily accessible via fast train links. Lincoln is famous for its historic uphill quarters (often referred to as the Bailgate) where there's an array of shops/bars/restaurants as well as Lincoln Cathedral and Castle.
We are looking for someone truly special to join us long term. Collaborating with Mum and Dad to create a warm loving and safe environment. The individual must be nurturing and help guide the children with the empowering attitude that they can achieve anything. We are looking for a calm, kind and competent person with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
Main responsibilities will include helping with the morning routine including breakfast, getting prepared for the day ahead and the school drop offs and pick ups. Supporting the children in age appropriate learning and exciting extra curricular fun/games/activities, cooking for the children, tidying up after the children and the occasional holiday with the family . The role will be a combination of sole charge and working collaboratively with Mum. After school is another busy time for the family requiring the support of the nanny for a ‘tag team’ approach. Bath and bedtime support is required.
Accommodation,(if required), is a private studio annexe with own open plan kitchenette, dining / lounge area and private bathroom also with private entrance and private outdoor space
There is a high level of flexibility and diversity with this role. We are happy to work the role to best fit the likes, interests and strengths of the individual selected as well as meeting the needs of the family. The role can be collaboratively devised.
We would encourage/ facilitate the nanny in continuing their learning/development/skillsets in the way of attending conferences, courses or qualifications that may be beneficial to us all as a family if needed
The family also employs a cleaner 3 times a week but there may be some light household chores to keep the house running smoothly like loading dishwashers, keeping children’s playroom and their bedrooms tidy etc
The family will offer the successful candidate a £170 yearly CPD budget if required and 28 days’ annual leave per year inclusive of bank holidays.
