About Me
Hi, I’m Jenna and I run Hive Childcare in Linthwaite. I live with my husband Levi and our three children and have a real passion for creating a warm, home-from-home environment where children feel safe, loved, and inspired to learn.
My approach is rooted in nature and play-based learning. We spend lots of time outdoors and follow a curriculum inspired by the National Trust’s “50 things to do before you’re 11¾”, making wonderful memories while building confidence and independence. Our setting is also Makaton friendly and Home Ed supportive, with a cosy, Hygge-inspired environment indoors for creativity, reading, and play.
Very soon my husband, Levi, will also be joining Hive Childcare. Levi brings energy, creativity and a love of outdoor adventures, and we’re both really excited to work together as a team to give children the very best start.
We’re registered to care for children from birth up to 11 years and can offer both funded and flexible places.

My Experience
I have over 14 years’ experience working in childcare and family support. During this time, I have worked as both a childminder and a foster carer for the Local Authority, caring for children of all ages and with a wide range of needs.
I have extensive experience supporting children with SEN (Special Educational Needs) and I am passionate about creating an inclusive environment where every child feels valued, supported, and able to thrive.
My Qualifications
- Level 3 Diploma in Childcare
- Level 3 Paediatric First Aid
- Level 2 Safeguarding Training
I am committed to ongoing professional development and regularly update my training to ensure I provide the best care and safest environment for every child.
My Availability
We are open Monday to Friday between the hours of 07:30-17:30.
We offer full day spaces, morning slots & afternoon slots. We also offer school holiday care.
We’re pleased to share that we will have additional spaces available from January onwards as we welcome an assistant to our setting. Please get in touch for more information.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
We offer flexible sessions to suit different needs:
Morning session (7:30am – 12:30pm): £30.00
Afternoon session (12:30pm – 5:30pm): £30.00
Full day session (7:30am – 5:30pm): £50.00
