About Me
Hi, we’re Jenna and Levi, the husband and wife team behind Hive Childcare.
Hive was created from a simple belief, that children thrive best when they feel safe, loved, valued and truly part of a family.
As parents of three ourselves, including a child with additional needs, inclusion and nurturing care are at the heart of everything we do. We understand how important it is for families to find a setting where their child is not only cared for, but genuinely known, understood and celebrated for who they are.
Our setting offers a calm, cosy and Hygge-inspired environment with small ratios, slow-paced routines and a strong focus on emotional wellbeing. We believe childhood should feel gentle, joyful and unhurried, giving children the time and space to explore, play and grow with confidence.
At Hive, our days are child-led and centred around play, connection and curiosity. We enjoy sensory play, story and song time, gardening, nature walks and outdoor adventures, encouraging children to discover the world around them at their own pace. We love spotting birds and insects on our walks, getting messy in play and creating meaningful moments together throughout the day.
We place huge importance on kindness, inclusion and giving children a voice. We are passionate about creating an environment where every child feels happy, secure and valued, regardless of their background or abilities. We are also Makaton friendly, with ongoing training to further support communication and inclusion within our setting.
Families often describe Hive as calm, warm and nurturing, a home-from-home environment where strong bonds naturally form between children, staff and families alike.
We offer care for children from birth to 3 years, including funded places and flexible childcare options.

My Experience
Together, we bring over 14 years of experience in childcare and family support. During this time, we have worked as both childminders and foster carers for the Local Authority, caring for children of all ages and with a wide range of individual needs and backgrounds.
We have extensive experience supporting children with SEN (Special Educational Needs) and are passionate about creating an inclusive, nurturing environment where every child feels valued, supported and able to thrive.
We are committed to continually developing our knowledge and practice to provide the best possible care and support for the children and families we work with. Jenna is currently completing ongoing Makaton training and working towards her Level 5 Diploma for the Early Years Senior Practitioner qualification.
My Qualifications
Between us, we hold a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare, Level 3 Paediatric First Aid, and Level 2 Safeguarding Training. We’re deeply committed to ongoing professional development and regularly update our knowledge and skills to ensure we provide the highest standard of care and the safest, most nurturing environment for every child.
My Availability
We’re open Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 5:30pm, offering full-day spaces.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
- Babysitting from £18.00 per hour
Full day session (7:30am – 5:30pm): £60.00
