My Experience

From the ages of 15-19 I frequently babysat my next door neighbours two daughters who were 3 and 6. Making sure they were fed, well looked after and ready for bed whilst in a safe and fun environment. I often helped with homework and ensured the house was neat and tidy for the arrival of mom and dad.

In 2023, I worked in a children’s summer camp in Upstate New York as a Day Camp Counsellor for 4 months. This role involved me looking after children between the ages of 4-12 in groups of about 10. Each day was filled with all sorts of action packed activities like rock climbing, arts and crafts and canoeing. During this time, I also trained as a lifeguard, receiving a Red Cross certificate and was then able to supervise the children’s swim time in Lake George.

When returning home from America, I became a Nanny for 3 lovely children aged 2,3 and 5. This role involved me arriving at their house at 3:00pm to complete small house hold tasks like making snacks, folding clothes, light tidying etc. I then picked them up from school and walked them the short journey home. Afternoons included, driving the children to after school activities, helping with homework and reading, cooking dinners and feeding the children, play time and ensuring they were bathed and in bed ready for school the next day.

I worked with this family for 1 year, before moving to Thailand for 6 months to support my boyfriend who is a professional Muay Thai boxer.

Level 2 diploma in health and social care

General first aid certification

Red Cross certification in Lifeguarding

Fully credited Teaching Assistance Qualification

• Nannying from £14.00 per hour (gross)
