My Summary

My Experience

I have gained a wealth of experience, knowledge, and skills from various full time and temp roles i have worked in over the last few years.
The majority of my experience comes from the full time roles I had in a last few years which are: Senior Early Years Practitioner/Room leader - After completing my early years apprenticeship and qualifying as Level 3 Practitioner, I was offered a senior leadership position in a nearby day nursery. Over my two years there, I led teams in the toddler, preschool, and under 2s room with up to 30 kids in each room and continued to develop my practice in the classroom. I was in charge of running the day to day aspects of the age groups i worked which included, creating and ensuring engaging activities both indoor and outside were available through modelling and training other educators, being the main point of contact for all the parents in the age groups I worked with; including working to support a variety of SEND and medical conditions as much as we could and in the best way for the individual child. It also included developing an inclusive and rich curriculum that taught the children the foundation skills they need for their development and the beginnings of skills they needed to access future learning and life. Also giving them the opportunities and skills to develop independence in their own play and self-care needs.
Most recently, I have been expanding my experience and knowledge through doing a variety of roles such as nanny-ing, agency work across Hertfordshire, as well as working with a family I looked after during my last role in a nursery, supporting their older daughter with SEND on trips and daily activities. I then went on to work in the film and creative arts industry in a nursery supporting working parents with childcare during productions.

Prior to this, I worked in a primary school as an early years apprentice in both reception and nursery/pre-school classes starting in September 2021. Which also involved me leading various activities with a small group of children from both classes and being one of three key workers in a reception class in my last year there. While working in the primary school I also took on a few additional roles such as a lunchtime supervisory assistant. This involved helping in the dining hall with reception to yr2 aged children and on the playground with the same year groups. We rotated playground roles weekly, and I gained my pediatric first aid level 3 qualification for this role. I also worked every day in the after-school club, which had mostly reception to yr3, sometimes yr4,5,6 as well. There were three of us in the club, and we usually had between 24-30 kids each day until 6 pm. I have also got experience in various other childcare roles while working term time, such as after-school nanny for a local family, babysitting in the summer for another local family, and working as an assistant coach for a children’s football program.

My Qualifications

I’ve completed all the relevant childcare qualifications, such as Level 3 Early Years Educator Diploma, Paediatric First Aid 12hr certification, Food Safety and Hygiene training. As well as having completed additional further training in specific areas, such as Designated Safeguarding Lead training, FSA Food allergy and intolerance training, as well as various short course training in behaviour, psychology, and SEND.

My Availability

I’m looking to work with a family or two in a long term role, either as a half day or after school/evening nanny. I’m happy to help with most hours throughout the day through preferably afternoon and evening time.
Also, happy to help with any adhoc hours or babysitting. Thanks

My Fees

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
• Nannying from £15.00 per hour (gross)
