About Me

Hello, my name is Laurie and I have been a teacher for twenty years and a tutor for seven years. I have taught in mainstream primary schools, independent schools and special provisional units for children with special educational needs. I am also a English as an Additional Language (EAL) specialist. I moved from London to Frinton-on-Sea last year.

My Experience

I have taught every age group from 3 years to 11 years in primary schools and up to Key Stage 4 in special provision units. I have worked with a range of special educational needs including: dyslexia, ADHD, ASC, SEMH and SLCN.
For the last five years, I have focused on preparing children with EAL, for the 3+, 4+, 7+, 8+ and 11 + entrance exams to top selective schools in London and the home counties.

My Qualifications

BSc Psychology (Hons)
MSc Health Psychology
QTS (qualified teacher status)

My Availability

I am available to tutor from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. every week day and from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Sundays. I have availability at other times during the school holidays.
