About Me
Hello
My name is Salma Akbar , I am a Ofsted registered childminder. I am located in bricket wood , st. Albans AL2 , just off the M1 and M25 .
It a beautiful village located between Watford and st. Albans . I am a DBS checked , with fully insured and hold a Paediatric first aid certificate. I have attended and achieved qualifications for becoming a childminder . I am also a qualified TA ( teacher assistant) , worked in many different schools and also with SEN children.
I specialise in providing care for babies and children of all ages and I offer a real home from home experience for the children entrusted to my care . As I have 3 children of my own !
Children will be stimulated daily through play using engaging resources and activities such as story telling , music , dance , role play , sensory play ,arts and crafts , physical play indoor and outdoor and educational resources .
Children will be guided using individually tailored support to enable each child to reach his or her developmental potential. Resources are used to encourage and support learning across all areas of the EYFS and for children to make developmental progress .
My home is spacious and welcoming , equipped with everything children will need to meet their needs . My home includeds a private and secure garden with lots of age appropriate play equipment choices for children.
I will provide healthy balanced meals and snacks and encourage children to make healthy choices .
My Experience
I have childcare experience as a parent of three beautiful children and professionally as a TA ( teacher assistant) . I have worked with many different ages also including SEN children .

Fully driving license and own car
Certificate of full Paediatric first aid
Level 2 Food hygiene and safety for Catering
Certified Nasen meeting the needs of every child
Level 1 award in preparing to work in schools

My Availability
Working hours : Monday to Friday - 7am to 6pm ( can be flexible with timing ) also can do Saturday and Sunday depending on my availability if requested ! Can do pick and drop from schools ( mount pleasant lane primary school and future academy Watford )
