My Requirements
I am a student nurse currently studying and working within the NHS. My children and I are a small, loving family, and I am looking for reliable, nurturing and experienced childcare to support us during my nursing training and placement commitments.
My son is three years old, happy, energetic and very affectionate. He enjoys play, interaction and exploring his environment. He is autistic and benefits from close supervision, patience, consistency and attentive care. He can sometimes put objects in his mouth, so I am looking for someone who is vigilant, safety-aware and experienced in caring for autistic children and children with additional developmental needs.
I am also expecting a baby, who will be attending nursery by the time I return to my second placement block in April 2027. Therefore, I am looking for someone with genuine newborn and baby-care experience who is confident caring for a baby and toddler.
My childcare needs will mainly be during my university nursing placement days, approximately three days per week. The exact days will vary depending on my placement timetable and will be confirmed closer to each placement block.
The role will involve coming to our home in the morning, getting the children ready for nursery, taking them to Fun4Kidz Nursery in Bilston, collecting them at the end of the nursery day and caring for them at home until I return from placement.
My placement blocks are:
• WC 28 December 2026 – WC 8 February 2027 – my son only
• WC 5 April 2027 – WC 14 June 2027 – my newborn and son
• WC 9 August 2027 – WC 23 August 2027 – my newborn and son
Reliability, clear communication and a calm, caring and patient approach are extremely important to me. I am hoping to find someone kind, understanding and supportive who can become a trusted part of our childcare routine and provide a safe, structured and engaging environment where both of my children feel secure and encouraged to thrive.
Ideally, I am looking for someone with an enhanced DBS, paediatric first aid, experience with autistic children/additional needs, newborn experience and, preferably, a full driving licence and suitable vehicle for nursery drop-offs and collections.
