About Me

Hello, my partner is a French carpenter/draftsman and I am a painter/artist. We have only recently moved to Hemel so just getting our bearings as to what is what.

After Christmas it would be nice to have somewhere for Xavier to go and socialise without me on Mondays and Wednesdays. My work is very irregular at the moment and there may be days where I will need extra care as and when if that is possible. we live in a small house which can on occasion have building work happening in it, so coming back to the house may not always be the best option. When I do work I work in the film studios so the days are long, 6:30am back by 6/7pm. At the moment I am limiting what work I sign up to but in the future I will likely take on more work like this and will need someone Xavier knows and likes to come play with him, do wrap around pick ups etc. My husband at the moment is working and building the house whilst I try to understand our place in Hemel. Any guidance is very welcome,

Xavier likes mini golf, drawing, anything with balls, trains, imaginary play, puzzles. He is not great at sharing yet but does play nicely with the other boy at his old child minder.

For the next few months I am hoping my routine will incorporate below;
swimming on a Tuesday morning,
song time on a Thursday morning,
and library on a Friday morning. I have a year ticket to whipsnade so am hoping to use that as often as possible.
Mondays occasionally we go to the baby group near us but we have been transitioning from our previous childminder who we are so sad to leave on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Saying all this tho, my life is very unpredictable, what I plan does not always happen, a lot depends on what work I get offered.
I need someone that is relatively flexible and accommodating but will also remind me that Xavier needs routine (which is not something I have had much of in the past 10 years)
He is a summer baby so could start preschool in September which is also when I have a long job booked in, having someone help with pick ups/drop offs that he already knows would be ideal. It maybe to either Tudor preschool or another school in the hp3 area.
