About me
Hello, my name is Katia. I am an Ofsted-registered childminder with 13 years of experience, and I have been working in childcare for more than 20 years.
Originally from Brazil, I have lived in the UK for 24 years and spent over 18 years in London, working as a nanny and babysitter before becoming a registered childminder in 2013. I am based in Bracknell since 2020, where I live with my husband and our three children.
I am passionate about providing a warm, safe, and nurturing home-from-home environment where children feel happy, secure, and valued. As a mother myself, I understand how important it is to find the right childcare, and I take great pride in offering a service that parents can trust.
I am a friendly, caring, and enthusiastic person, and I love supporting children’s development through play, creativity, and exploration. I provide a variety of fun and educational activities, along with regular outings, to help children learn, grow, and build confidence in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Safeguarding children is my highest priority. I hold up-to-date safeguarding training and have a clear understanding of child protection procedures. I am confident in recognising and responding to any concerns, ensuring all children in my care are safe, protected, and supported at all times. I work in line with current safeguarding legislation and guidance and maintain a safe, secure environment for every child.
I am committed to continuous professional development and regularly update my knowledge through childcare training and courses to ensure I provide the best possible care.
Meals & Daily Care
All daily rates include freshly prepared, healthy meals and snacks. I provide a weekly menu and can cater for special dietary requirements upon request.
My aim is to offer a flexible, reliable, and high-quality childcare service that supports both children and their families.
My Experience
I have over 20 years of experience working in childcare, including roles as a nanny, babysitter, and Ofsted-registered childminder. I have worked with many local families, caring for children from newborns through to primary school age, supporting their development at every stage.
During my early career, I also volunteered in a local nursery while completing my childcare qualifications, which gave me valuable hands-on experience in early years education.
As a mother of three, I bring both professional knowledge and personal understanding to my role. This helps me provide a caring, patient, and supportive environment where children feel comfortable and parents feel confident.
Over the years, I have built strong, trusting relationships with the families I have worked with, and I am proud to have excellent references available upon request.
My experience allows me to adapt to each child’s individual needs, routines, and personality, ensuring they receive the best possible care and support.
My Qualifications
Qualifications
• Level 3 CACHE Diploma in Early Years Education
• Level 2 Certificate for the Children and Young People’s Workforce
• Paediatric First Aid Certificate (kept up to date)
• Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) Check
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
• Introduction to Childcare (foundation course supporting Level 2 studies)
• Brazilian Ensino Médio (equivalent to UK A-Levels), including subjects such as Portuguese, English, Mathematics, Sciences, Humanities, and Languages
Languages
• Fluent in Portuguese and English
• Working knowledge of Spanish
I regularly update my training to ensure my knowledge and skills remain current, in line with Ofsted requirements and best practice in childcare.
My Availability
I am available for chilminding Monday to Friday full day from 8am to 6pm and every evening for babysitting at your home from 7pm. ( I can be flexible about time)
My Fees
- Babysitting from £13.00 per hour
- Childminding from £8.00 per hour

Babysitting - £13 per hour

My daughter Helîn has been going to Katia since she was 9 months old, and she is now 31 months. We are very happy with the care she receives. Helîn loves Katia and her family and feels very comfortable with everyone.
Helîn is always happy to go there and is learning new things all the time. It is lovely to see her grow in confidence and continue to hit her milestones. Even when Helîn is upset or having a tantrum, she settles down very quickly with Katia.
Katia gives me real peace of mind when I leave Helîn with her. I always know she is safe, loved, and well looked after.
Katia has also been very accommodating with my early work starts and even looked after Helîn when I had to travel to a different city for work overnight. She is flexible, kind, and understanding.
Katia has also been a great support to us during difficult times. She is very empathetic, caring, loving, and patient.

I found Katia through this website, and I could not have been more fortunate. She has been the most supportive and caring caregiver I could ever have imagined for my child. The immense trust I have in her has made it possible for me to continue my career and care for my family—and myself—with peace of mind.
My daughter, Olivia, faces developmental delays due to a brain bleed at birth. Every milestone is hard-won; she sat independently at 1.5 years old and only recently began walking at 2.5 years old. Through every single step of this challenging journey, Katia has been there. She has loved Olivia unconditionally and provided unwavering support.
Katia’s patience, knowledge, and deep respect for children are nothing short of amazing. I truly could not navigate the complexities of parenting my wonderful girl without her. She is definitely gifted with the qualities that make an exceptional caregiver. We are forever grateful to have found her.

Katia has proven to be an incredible caregiver for my toddler—truly a blessing. I'm grateful to have chosen her over a fancy nursery. Katia quickly grasped my son's needs and adjusted accordingly, a level of understanding that took us a year to achieve. Her experience and dedicated efforts deserve commendation. Thank you for choosing me and specially for trusting me.
I would not trust anyone else with my children! She is an absolute star with little ones...
My son has been going to her for 3 years and he adores her. I always have my heart at peace because I know he is loved and looked after. She always serves nutritious homecooked meals and there is a plus with language as she has been speaking Portuguese to my son (upon our request) and he is now speaking a third language.
I am now sending my second-born to her too and I am sure he is going to be happy, too.
