About Me

Hi, I am a first time, single mum by choice (conceived using a donor) to a lovely little boy and I’m now looking for a trustworthy, caring childminder for him.

His name is Albert and he is currently 15 months old. Going through that climbing on everything, walking like a dinosaur stage! He loves watching The Adventures of Paddington Bear tv series (sorry but as a single mum, screen time can be a life saver haha), ball drop toys, stacking rings, posting things in his little wooden post box and trips to Pets at Home to see the fish. He never took to a dummy but has a muslin for comfort which we call his ‘raggy’ (I shall provide you with many raggy’s!) He can walk very well around the house but needs more persuasion outside. Personality wise, he is cheeky, lovable and a bit of an observer to start with. He has 1-2 naps a day (either on me or mum or on the sofa) and sleeps through the night. Weaning wise, he has been a bit of a challenge! He still has 3-4 bottles of formula a day and we try our best to encourage 3 meals (mix of porridge, pouches, our meals chopped up into little chunks, finger foods etc) but it’s hit and miss if he will go for it - it’s something we are working on! He loves grated cheddar cheese, custard and wotsits though. We have cats and he is great with them. No allergies or conditions.

My mum looks after him at the moment while I work part time as a dental hygienist but I’d like to take the pressure off her. I think it would be great for Albert to be around other children too and this will probably help with his own development.

Childminder wise, the main thing I am looking for is a caring home from home vibe. I want him to feel happy and comfortable with you, be able to go to you for a cuddle and eventually look forward to seeing you, and I hope you will enjoy spending time with him. I would love for him to have some outside time, messy activities and above all, fun!
