My Experience
I have a lot of experience working with children. Since I was young, I’ve always enjoyed spending time with them, playing, helping, and drawing together. I started by taking care of the children of my mother’s friends. When they had to work on weekends, they would leave their kids with me. I would take care of them, feed them, go to the park, put them down for naps, prepare bottles for the babies, and help older kids with homework and activities.
During my first year of university, I worked for 5 or 6 months as a nanny for a company here in France. I took care of a child, dropping him off and picking him up from school, helping him with homework, bathing him, giving him dinner, reading him a book, and putting him to bed.
Additionally, in the summers, when my uncles visited from the U.S., I would spend time with my younger cousins, teaching them Spanish, taking them to the park, and going to the beach together. These experiences have allowed me to connect with children of all ages and backgrounds, and I’ve always enjoyed the time spent with them.
I also have experience as an au pair, where I took care of a 3-year-old child and his 9-month-old baby brother. This role gave me the opportunity to support the daily routines of both a toddler and an infant, balancing play, learning, and care responsibilities.
