About Me
Mature and hard-working individual studying Speech and Language Therapy. Enthusiastic with a nurturing, adaptable mindset gained through my experience within several support worker roles. I am adept at working with all ages with varying challenging needs and approach every job from a position of curiosity and empathy.
I am in my second year of my Speech and Language Therapy course, and due to the high volume of placement opportunities, I have gained much experience working with people with varying EDS needs, adults with learning disabilities and aphasia, and children with autism and cleft palate.
My main skills are facilitating play, positive behaviour support and leading in personal care including feeding, dressing, changing and washing.
My Experience
I have experience with all ages, babysitting for 8 years, working for 1 year in a nursery for 7 month olds-5 year olds. Additionally most of my experience has involved children and adults with special needs, primarily autism. I attend summer camps every year staffing children for 2 weeks while they are away from their parents.
My Qualifications
I have a safeguarding qualification and an enhanced DBS. I am currently in the process of gaining my Speech and Language Therapy qualification.
My Availability
Due to my university course I am available on Saturday, Sunday and Monday afternoons and evenings. I am willing to do overnight as well. Aside from that I am available for babysitting Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evening.
