About Me
I have always wanted to work with children for as long as I can remember and am pursuing my dream. I'm currently working in a nursery supporting children from 6 months - 4 years old and also work with children from 4-11 at after school club. I'm 20 years old and have developed a range of experience working with children, this includes: babysitting (since i was a teenager), child minding, volunteering in primary schools, supporting vulnerable and SEND children engaging in education and shadowing an experienced SENCO to gain knowledge of strategies and techniques that ensure happiness and inclusion for all. As well as working at the nursery I am continuing my professional development by undertaking a course that will enable me to be an EYFS teacher or manage my own nursery, this is my dream as I have always had an infinity with children and I always will.
My Experience
As previously stated I have experience of supporting, minding and caring for children of all ages. My passion for this career has enabled me to work across many settings with children of all age, ability and level of care.
I have been babysitting since the age of 14 and an happy to provide references. I can also provide references from my workplace and previous employment.
My Qualifications
I achieved 8 GCSE's despite Covid and then began following my passion of working with children. I have undertaken various courses including safeguarding, mental health and wellbeing, childhood development and first aid. I have also gained crucial practical experience from volunteering and observing experienced practitioners. I am currently studying alongside working at the nursery and I thoroughly enjoy it.
My Availability
Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays I work at the nursery 8-6 but would be available in the evenings.
