Hello, my name is Luana, and I’m a 36-year-old nanny/babysitter. I am fluent in two languages (English and Italian) and I also speak beginner's Spanish.
I love exploring new places, delicious food & live music. On a day off, you can find me on the sofa binging a TV show, at a steam fair or car boot, or on a day trip to a National Trust place with my partner.
I moved to England in 2014 as an au pair, and now I am a freelance photographer: my work specialises in empowering people in their bodies (regardless of shape, colour, size, etc), and I offer bumps, postpartum and breastfeeding sessions too.
I am looking at working with children ad hoc again, because I truly miss it!
My Experience
I have 10+ years of experience looking after children aged 10 months to 14 years old.
Parents would describe me as fun, friendly, communicative and responsible.
Back in Italy, I babysat children when I was aged 16 to 19. In those years, I looked after children aged 3 (triplets) to 12, including working at my local summer camp & being part of the children's entertainment team on Lake Garda's camp sites.
At 19, I came to England for the first time as a live-in au pair for the summer (2009). I did that again for the summers of 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 until I moved here as an au pair in 2014, after getting my degree in visual and performing arts.
In late 2014, I moved to London as a live-in nanny for a family of 5 - the youngest was G20 months, followed by B6 and B9.
After moving to Cambridgeshire, I have had different full-time jobs, non-childcare related, but I have taken on ad hoc jobs in my free time, including looking after a little girl from when she was 7 months to 20 months, and twins from the age of 9 until the age of 13. I oddly have a lot of experience with twins and triplets! I have also done some overnight stays when parents were on work trips.

My availability can change due to the nature of my freelance work.
At the moment, I am looking at potentially doing one full day a week or ad hoc nannying/babysitting in the evenings.
