Hi, I’m Jessie!
I’m 23 years old and I live in Leith, Edinburgh doing volunteer work for an organization that supports young people experiencing homelessness. I do 20 hours of volunteer work a week and have a flexible schedule, so I have plenty of time left over to help out your family, and am happy to work with you and your changing needs!
I am passionate about helping children learn and grow through creativity and physical activity, which I love bringing into my babysitting jobs. I am a patient, positive, and responsible person with a hands-on approach (more play time, less screen time!) I truly love working with children, and am also quite tidy and happy to help around the house where needed.
I have a First Class BA Degree in Fine Art, so I love doing everything creative! When I'm not volunteering, I like to spend my time taking dance and jiu jitsu classes, reading, going for walks, baking, and exploring Edinburgh with my friends (especially the wonderful museums!)

My Experience
I have been babysitting off and on since I was 15 for families with children ranging from less than a year old up to 13 years old. I have also worked several jobs with children, including teaching youth art classes and coaching youth cheerleading.
My Qualifications
I have done extensive background checks/DBS checks for both my visa for living in the UK ( I am originally from the U.S. and moved to the UK three years ago for my BA Fine Art Degree from Falmouth University), and my volunteer role working with young people. I have a Chaperone License from working with children as a cheerleading coach. I have qualifications for First Aid and as a Fire Warden.
My Availability
As a volunteer, I create my own schedule each week on Monday. While I volunteer for 20 hours each week, I choose which days/which times of day I volunteer. Thus, with a little bit of a heads up, I can create my schedule to accommodate you, making sure that I am available for your family when you need me each week!

Jessie is an excellent professional. She was absolutely top-notch, taking care of our little girl while mom and dad went on a little date. We had a great time and apparently the two of them had a great time too! Our daughter even asked us why we came back so early... and when can we go out again so Jessie can come over. She's very sweet, kind and gentle, and instantly connected with our daughter. We couldn't be happier - thank you, Jessie!
