About Me
Hello! I'm Katie and I am a private tutor with a compassionate, positive and friendly approach. I offer English lessons to children in Years 1 - 11 and Maths to children in Years 1 - 8. I also offer French and Spanish tuition for a range of different levels (beginner - advanced). I tailor every one of my lessons to each child/student according to their needs and I strive to make each lesson interactive, fun and engaging. I have a DBS check which is on the Update Service - after all, providing a safe and secure learning environment is at the heart of everything I do!
My Experience
I have over 5 years of experience working in education as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with Qualified Teacher Status. I have a degree in Modern Foreign Languages (French and Spanish) as well as a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificate. I have lived and worked in both France and Spain, allowing me to improve my language skills and cultural knowledge significantly. I have worked in a variety of primary and secondary schools across the North East and have worked closely with children with SEN, English as an Additional Language as well as looked after children.
My Qualifications
