Barista and coffee lover enjoying being a mum to my beautiful baby boy. I’ve gone back to work two days a week for some adult conversation, a little break from “mum mode” and to cover what maternity pay would have provided for our family so that the pressure isn’t all on my fiancé. This has also meant we can continue to maintain life as it is with a tad more structure and balance for us all.
We love getting out for walks, and often meet friends in the park. Unfortunately, due to deteriorating health, my son’s grandparents are not really physically able to have my son too much longer whilst I’m at work anymore and I’d like to have something in place so that we don’t have to worry or get let down at the last minute. This would keep things consistent for my son too. I didn’t initially apply to any nurseries as we didn’t think it was necessary yet but life happened and things have changed… I’m also looking to pick up another weekday shift.
My Requirements
I’m looking for childcare for 2 days a week between 9-5 starting in September 2026 when my son will turn 18 months. We would require funded hours but would like to know a bit more about how this works. Childcare would be required Wednesdays, as I currently have this in place with work, and either Mondays or Thursdays as work are happy to accommodate either day depending on what childcare I can get.
