My Experience

I have hands-on experience caring for children aged 5–10 through my work as a school bus chaperone, where I was responsible for supporting both mainstream pupils and children with special needs on their daily journeys. My younger sister also has special needs, which has given me first-hand experience of the patience, adaptability, and understanding required when caring for children with additional needs. Alongside this, I have volunteered at several of her school events, working with children of a range of ages and abilities, which has strengthened my ability to provide safe, supportive, and inclusive care.

My Qualifications

I hold a basic DBS check, along with first aid training covering CPR and treatment of minor injuries. I have also completed safeguarding training and gained extensive experience working with children with special needs. I hold a full, clean UK driving licence with my own car available for childcare use. I am confident preparing meals and achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE Food Technology, giving me a solid understanding of food safety. I am a strong swimmer and able to provide homework support across different subjects. I recently completed A-Levels in Maths, Biology, and Geography.

My Availability

I am available Monday to Thursday throughout the day, including before school, mornings, afternoons, and evenings. On Fridays, I am available before school and during the morning only. I am not available on weekends or for overnight stays. I am, however, available on bank holidays.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £12.00 per hour

My base rate is £12 per hour. For families with more than one child, I charge an additional £2 per hour per child, with late-night rates negotiable. I’m also happy to take children out (for example to the park or cinema) to make their time more enjoyable — outings are not charged beyond my hourly rate, though parents would cover petrol and any costs such as tickets or food. I hold a full, clean UK driving licence with no points, and can travel easily, with flexible availability to suit your family’s needs.
