My Experience

I have over 30 years’ experience supporting children and families, beginning as a mother in 1995 and later as a childcare professional. I started as a childminder before opening and managing a registered children’s nursery, which I have run for over 15 years.

Throughout my career, I have supported hundreds of parents through pregnancy, newborn stages, and early childhood, as well as working extensively with families of children with additional needs, including autism and anxiety.

Alongside my professional work, I have supported my own children and their partners as they became parents, and continue to provide hands-on support to my grandchildren. I am confident, calm, and experienced in offering practical guidance and reassurance to new parents and families.

My Qualifications

Over 15 years’ experience owning and managing a registered children’s nursery, including safeguarding lead responsibilities.

Level 3 qualification in Early Years and Childcare, with further study in Early Years at the University of Northampton (Foundation Degree, 2014).

Enhanced DBS check, paediatric first aid training, and extensive hands-on experience supporting newborns, early years development, and children with additional needs.

Ongoing professional development through practical experience and continued learning.

My Availability

I offer flexible availability during weekdays for home visits or support calls. Occasional evenings can be discussed if needed. Availability can be tailored to suit individual family needs.

My Fees

• Doulas from £45.00 per hour

Fees vary depending on the type of support required. I offer one-to-one sessions, home visits, and ongoing support packages for new parents and families. An informal initial discussion is always available to ensure I am the right fit for your family before booking.
