Job Description – Childminder for Ayaan

About Us:
We are a family based in East Ham, looking for a reliable and caring childminder to support us with after-school care for our son, Ayaan, who has ASD and ADHD.

About Ayaan:
Ayaan is a bright, energetic, and affectionate child who thrives with structure, patience, and understanding. We are looking for someone who has experience working with children with additional needs, or who has the patience and willingness to learn and adapt to his routine.

Role Details:

Pick-up Location: Central Park Primary School (East Ham).

Time: From 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm, maximum 3 days per week (occasionally 4 days depending on our rota).

Days: Schedule will vary weekly; we can provide a 1-month advance rota.

Duties:

Safely collect Ayaan from school.

Escort him home and provide supervision until parents return.

Support him with after-school activities (e.g., snacks, play, calming activities, or homework support if appropriate).

Create a positive, safe, and engaging environment.

Requirements:

Experience caring for children, ideally with ASD/ADHD (preferred, but not essential if willing to learn).

Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.

Ability to provide a calm, structured, and supportive routine.

Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain).

Additional Information:

We are a warm and respectful family, and we value open communication with our childminder.
