About Me

Hi there! I'm Anni.

I'm an experienced, qualified primary teacher (PGCE distinction, CELTA, DELTA, English Lit BA). My specialisms include: the early years (including phonics and play-based learning), SEN (I also work as an alternative provision tutor) and EAL/ EFL learners (In particular, I have helped many Chinese learners to prepare for success on coming to live in England.)

I love the focused, learner-centred experience of tutoring so I don't work with more than two pupils at a time. I want to dedicate myself and my time to the child(ren) I am working with and really make sure we get the most out of our time together. I'll make sure we are focused on achieving your goals as efficiently as possible, but also that I know your child and what helps them to enjoy and look forward to our lessons!

I'd describe myself as: gentle but fun, kind, reflective and supportive.

Many of my classes are online and I can also teach at my home in Lexden, Colchester (or possibly travel to you if it's not far!). I'd be happy to have an informal chat and can also provide a half-price trial lesson to see if we are a good fit.
