About Me
Hi, I'm Samantha. I recently moved to Belfast from London and I'm still finding my feet—but so far, it's been a wonderful experience. I live in East Belfast with my three children: two lovely daughters and our baby boy. We come from a Caribbean background, and although we're British-born, Belfast already feels like home.
I'm a qualified nurse and have been out of work since July last year. Right now, I'm looking to return to both studying and working, with the goal of rejoining the healthcare field. The community here has been incredibly welcoming, and my girls have settled in beautifully—they absolutely love it. I’m truly grateful for how friendly and supportive everyone has been.
My Requirements
My current childcare needs are primarily for my 9-month-old baby, and occasionally for school pick-ups for my second child, who is in P4. My baby has shown signs of being quite clingy and needy, often requiring a lot of attention throughout the day. Medical advice has reassured me that this is likely a developmental phase—he’s simply too young for any formal diagnosis and is expected to grow out of it in time.
It’s been noted that he’s mostly familiar with me and his sisters, which has contributed to his attachment. I believe it would be incredibly beneficial for him to begin socialising and spending time with others outside our immediate family. I’m hoping to find a permanent childminder—someone professionally trained and experienced in caring for infants with high emotional needs—who can help ease this transition and support his development.
