About Me
I am a caring, attentive and enthusiastic individual with a passion for looking after others in all aspects of my life. I find children an absolute joy to be around, and would love to help some parents out as I know they have little time. I am looking for babysitting/ childminding work in the evenings and some weekends. am also free all of October half term.
My Experience
I am currently a Teaching Assistant working with secondary school children, including SEN children. I work mostly with children with extra needs (emotionally and academically) and would be happy to help with homework etc in this regard. Being a TA, I hold qualifications regarding child safeguarding, dealing with uncomfortable conversations. More generally, I am very comfortable around children and truly believe that they are not only safe around me, but also - and importantly - happy and comfortable. I have also been babysitting for neighbours etc for most of my adult life.
My Qualifications
In terms of childcare qualifications, mine pertain more to those regarding safeguarding (which I have completed through my Teaching Assistant training), alongside other smaller qualifications/ modules such as dealing with emotional conversations with children and noticing problems. I have previously been a lifeguard, and am hence First Aid trained and feel comfortable dealing with health issues to some extent.
My Availability
I am available in the evenings and some weekends. October half term I am completely available.
