About Me

I'm Aislinn (pronounced Ashleen), and I'm expecting my first baby in December 2025 with my husband, Sam. We've been living in Edinburgh since 2020 and have recently moved to the Craigentinny area. I completed my PhD a few months ago and am now working as a researcher; Sam is a data scientist.

My Requirements

I'll return to work in January 2027 so we're looking for childcare to start then - getting a head start looking now! We will need at least 4 days a week, possibly 5, but if 4 we can be flexible on which day is not covered.

Our only strict requirement is that we'll be using washable nappies, so need a childminder who's comfortable with those. We're both vegetarian so would generally prefer the baby to eat vegetarian food as well, but this isn't a hard and fast rule. I love dogs but we don't have one at the moment, so would be keen for little one to get socialised with dogs. Bonus points if any other languages are spoken in your house - I work in linguistics so would love for the baby to be exposed to lots of different languages!
