About Me

I'm Aislinn (pronounced Ashleen), and I live with my husband, Sam, and our baby boy, Seth, who was born in December 2025. We've been living in Edinburgh since 2020 and have recently moved to the Craigentinny area. I completed my PhD in 2025 and am now working as a university researcher; Sam is a data scientist.

My Requirements

I'll return to work in January 2027 so we're looking for childcare to start then - getting a head start looking now! We're looking for 4 days a week, but we can be flexible on which day is not covered.

Our only strict requirement is that we use washable nappies, so need a childminder who's comfortable with those. We're both vegetarian so will generally be giving Seth vegetarian food as well, but we're not wedded to him having a strict vegetarian diet when he's not with us. I love dogs but we don't have one at the moment, so would be keen for him to get socialised with dogs. Bonus points if any other languages are spoken in your house - I work in linguistics so would love for Seth to be exposed to lots of different languages!
