About Me
Hello, my name is Andrea, and I am a caring and dedicated childminder. I aim to provide a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment where children feel happy and supported.
I will be working all year round from 9:00am till 4:00 and offering funded childcare entitlements. I work independently, allowing me to build strong relationships with children and their families.
I believe children learn through play and positive experiences, and I will support their development through a range of fun and engaging activities.
My goal is to create a safe and happy space where every child can grow and reach their full potential.
My Experience
I am new to childminding and excited to begin my journey in childcare. I have experience supporting children within a residential care setting, where I have worked with young people with a range of needs, including emotional and behavioural challenges. Also worked in schools for 15 years supporting children of all ages.
Through this role, I have developed skills in building positive relationships, supporting emotional regulation, setting clear boundaries, and promoting a safe and structured environment.
I am committed to continuing my professional development and providing high-quality care, ensuring that all children feel supported, valued, and able to thrive.
My Qualifications
Paediatric First Aid Certificate – ensures you can respond to emergencies and care for children safely.
Safeguarding and Child Protection Training – understanding how to protect children from harm.
Health and Safety Training – knowledge of safe practices in a home or childcare setting.
Food Hygiene Certificate – required if you will be preparing food for children.
Relevant Childcare Training – courses such as Child Development, Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), or other recognised childcare training can support your practice.
Enhanced DBS Check – a criminal record check to ensure you are suitable to work with children.
Registering with Ofsted – childminders must be registered with the relevant regulatory body (e.g., Ofsted in England).
My Availability
My current availability is Wednesdays and Thursdays until September 2026
From September 2026, I will be offering extended availability from Monday to Thursday, 9:00am until 4:00pm.
My Fees
- Childminding from £7.50 per hour
I accept both children who are eligible for government-funded childcare and those who do not receive funding.
This includes:
15 hours of funded childcare for eligible 3- and 4-year-olds.
30 hours of funded childcare for eligible 3- and 4-year-olds (if applicable).
15 hours of funded childcare for eligible 2-year-olds.
I aim to provide high-quality care and support for all children accessing funded hours, ensuring their individual needs are met.
