About Me
Hi, I'm Emma. I'm an Ofsted-registered childminder originally from South Africa and have lived in the UK since 2020. As a mum of two, I understand how important it is for children to feel safe, happy and settled. I provide a warm, caring, home-from-home environment where children can relax, build confidence and enjoy age-appropriate activities. I believe in clear communication with parents and work closely with families to ensure every child feels supported and valued.
I currently offer a small, friendly breakfast club Monday to Thursday from 7:15am, including breakfast and school drop-off, as well as limited after-school care on Mondays and Wednesdays until 4:30pm during term time.
My Experience
I have over 17 years of experience in childcare, education and business. I hold a Certificate in Early Childhood Development (NQF Level 5) and have worked with children from early years through to junior school age.
My experience includes running a family-owned infant school in South Africa, working as a practitioner at Maple Vue Nursery, spending a year as an assistant to an Ofsted-registered childminder, and operating as a registered childminder myself. I have also supported older children through after-school care programmes, assisting with homework, activities and daily routines.
These experiences have given me a strong understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding and child development, as well as the skills to provide nurturing, reliable care that meets the individual needs of each child.
My Qualifications
Ofsted Registered Childminder, Certificate in Early Childhood Development (NQF Level 5), Paediatric First Aid Trained, Enhanced DBS Checked and Safeguarding Trained.
My Availability
Breakfast Club: Monday–Thursday, 7:15am–School Start
After-School Care: Monday & Wednesday, School Collection–4:30pm
Term Time Only
My Fees
- Childminding from £7.50 per hour
Breakfast Club: £10.00 per morning, including breakfast and school drop-off.
Breakfast Club (without breakfast): £7.50 per morning.
After-School Care: £10.00 per session, including school pick-up and a healthy snack.
