Hi everyone! My name is Amelie and I am currently on a placement with NHS Talking Therapies as an Honorary Assistant Psychologist . If I had to describe myself using three words I’d say that I am bubbly, loyal and have a good sense of humour (I’d like to think that). I love children and animals and I am confident in creating a fun and safe environment where children feel comfortable expressing themselves and most importantly happy!
My Experience
I have experience working with young children in several different roles. In London, I cared for two boys aged 1.5 and 4 years old while their mother completed household tasks. I kept them engaged through play and ensured their safety throughout.
I worked with Magical Maths teaching a group of approximately 10 Reception and Key Stage 1 children, focusing on making maths enjoyable and accessible. I also volunteer with The Literacy Pirates, where I support children's literacy development through structured activities and games.
Most recently, I babysat a 4-year-old girl for three weeks on a near-daily basis. My responsibilities included preparing her meals, supervising play, and taking her on outings. Additionally, I volunteered at a musical theatre school, assisting with classes for children aged 3-5.
