About Me
I am a mum to a toddler and a teacher with nearly a decade of experience in the classroom. I am looking for to tutor either locally in the Enfield areas, or online further afield. Please contact me to discuss anything at all! I look forward to hearing from you.
My Experience
I have been teaching in primary schools (predominantly key stage 2) for 8 years and worked as a teaching assistant before that. I have a PGCE and Masters in primary education. I have also taught multiple years in year 6 and, therefore, have expertise in SATs preparation. I can tutor any subject at primary level.
As a class teacher, I have helped a huge number of children make significant academic progress. I firmly believe in building strong relationships with the pupils I teach, be this online or in person as these are the basis for effective learning. My pedagogical approach is research based, breaking things down into small chunks to aid true understanding and revisiting knowledge and skills often to ensure they are remembered in the long-term.
My Qualifications
I have a PGCE with QTS and an MA in primary education, both from UCL. I also have a CELTA qualification to teach English as a foreign language.
