About Me
My name is Harriet, I am a childminder based in the village of Shortlanesend, on the outskirts of Truro. I have a warm and loving home setting for little ones to learn, thrive and have fun. I believe in learning through play and adventure. We spend lots of time exploring everything that nature has to offer, with daily outings to the woods, parks and beaches as well as weekly trips to Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Donkey sanctuary and Truro gymnastics and activities in our home setting. We follow the full EYFS, so your child will learning everything they would at a nursery but in a smaller more personal and nurturing environment. I offer both term time only and full time places.
My Experience
I am a mum of 3 wonderful children, all now at school. I have experience with children 0-9 years. Full DBS, Paediatric First Aid Training. I have been childminding from my home for a year and have previous experience of running playgroups and children’s holiday clubs.

Harriet had only just started her childminding business when we came to meet her. I could immediately see she would be a perfect fit for our little boy. We haven’t regretted our decision since joining. Harriet is so patient and calm with the children. She’s very thoughtful and does meaningful activities with the children regularly, like playgroups and woodland walks. Our little one had a delayed developmental start, Harriet happily embraced learning extra makaton to assist us with a continuous plan. Harriet’s family are also super lovely, providing another layer of his care and excitement. We wholeheartedly recommend Harriet as a childminder, and will be sad to leave her at school time!
