My Summary

My Experience

I have worked with children throughout my working life. I started at 16, teaching children to sail, from ages 4 to 18.
I did that job for 4 years in various different schools. I learnt a lot here, specifically how to manage a group of excited kids. How to entertain children when the weather was a bit iffy. And most importantly, how to stay calm in challenging situations. And although it was a great summer job I needed something more consistent.
I then worked for a wonderful family as their part-time nanny. I started with them when their youngest was 3 months and their eldest was 2 years old. I worked with them until they moved from the area.
I then got a job as a TA in a SEN school. This was an amazing job, but incredibly challenging. I worked with some incredible children with a variety of complex needs, including autism, non-verbal, ADHD and downs syndrome to name a few.
I have most recently been teaching Pilates in Cornwall. But since moving am looking to return to my roots and spending some more time with children.
