Eda
Registered Childminder Job in Halesowen
About Me
My name is Eda, and my husband and I live in Halesowen. We’re both veterinarians and absolutely love animals. We welcomed our first baby boy, Leo, in December last year, and it has been such a special new chapter in our lives. We truly feel very blessed and are enjoying every moment of being parents.
We’re now looking for someone kind, caring and trustworthy who we can feel completely comfortable leaving our little boy with when I return to work in January 2027. We’re hoping to find someone who will become a lovely part of our family and make this transition a little easier for all of us.
My Requirements
We are looking for someone to work 4 days per week, 8 hours per day. The working hours will generally be either:
* 6:00 am – 2:00 pm, or
* 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
Therefore, we are particularly looking for someone who is flexible and comfortable with early starts.
Your main responsibility will be caring for our son and making sure he is happy, safe and well looked after while we are at work. We would love someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with young children and has previous experience caring for babies or toddlers.
Typical responsibilities would include:
* Preparing simple meals/snacks for our son
* Feeding and changing
* Playing with him and organising age-appropriate activities
* Reading books and supporting his development
* Taking him outside for walks or to local activities when appropriate
* Helping with his daily routine and naps
* Keeping his play areas and belongings tidy
* Occasionally helping with light household tasks, such as tidying up after him, putting away his toys or doing small amounts of general tidying
We are not looking for a cleaner; our priority is our son's care. However, someone who is naturally tidy and happy to help with small household tasks would be ideal.
We would love to find someone who is:
* Warm, caring and genuinely enjoys looking after children
* Experienced with babies and toddlers
* Reliable, responsible and trustworthy
* Patient and attentive
* Comfortable with early morning starts
* Flexible and able to adapt to our working schedule
* Proactive and able to keep our son engaged during the day
* Non-smoking
* Ideally holds an Enhanced DBS
* Ideally has Paediatric First Aid training
* Able to provide references from previous families/employers
Most importantly, we are looking for someone we can completely trust with our son and who will become a positive and caring part of his routine.
If you are interested, please get in touch with some information about yourself, your childcare experience, your availability from January 2027, and your expected hourly rate.
We would be very happy to arrange a chat or meeting to get to know you :)
