About Me
I am very crafty and have spent lots of time working as a volunteer for the Dorset Scrapstore. Part of my role there has also been assisting with various crafting workshops for a range of ages. As well as helping individuals achieve their goals in independent projects.
I have interests in all areas of the outdoors, as well as qualifications in first aid. I have experience through my course at a high standard for mountain biking, orienteering, climbing and archery. This is alongside Watersports qualifications for sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and a range of paddlesports.
From a young age I have spent time with a diverse range of children, as friends from my home ed background, and more recently as an instructor, where I have had to provide a caring and nurturing enrolment for those individuals to thrive. My aim has always been to help create happy and confident young people, both on and off the water.
My Experience
I have twin now 7yr old cousins and have always spent a lot of time with them this has included babysitting and looking after them for long periods of time. Between the ages of 2 - 4 they lived with us as my aunt is disabled and needed help. We still have them for extended periods of their school holidays totalling approx. 8 weeks of the year without parents.
As my role as a Watersports instructor I took on the role of being loco-parentis for my students for days at a time meaning I had sole responsibility for them in a dangerous environment. This job was done for many months over the course of three summers.

I was home-educated for nine years. This has meant that I was able to seize opportunities that have come along that other people may not have. This allowed me to have the best childhood full of fun and experiences as well as making me an independent and confident individual. During my home educated years I spent lots of time outside that has given me my love for the outdoors and adventure. I also learnt life skills such as cooking, woodwork and sewing.
My more recent education was at Rockley College in Poole. I studied here for two years and achieved distinction* in my BTEC (level three extended diploma in sport). I also was selected as 1 of 12 from hundreds of applicants to do a level three diploma. This was in sporting excellence and performance in sailing through the RYA and Loughborough college.
My Availability
I am currently taking a gap year as I work up my sea miles and qualifications to become a commercial yacht-master. This means I can travel and work as well as teach and race all round the world.
This means my availibitiy is all weekdays including three evenings a week.
