My name is Charlotte,
I am a good conversationalist and an artistic person. I get along well with children, even the naturally shy ones. Children tend to feel safe, secure and thrive in my company. I am physically fit which means I am able to keep up with active children and toddlers. I enjoy cooking and I cook from raw wholefood ingredients, as I believe processed foods are not beneficial for health. I keep the home clean and respectable for the family, making sure toys are tidy and keeping rooms in order and clean the kitchen after cooking. I have a DBS check and I can provide references. I will limit screen time and offer more traditional activities such as art and baking, I will involve children in preparing meals, so they can learn about food, cooking and nutrition. I also like growing food so we can make a vegetable garden with the children to learn how to grow foods and use them in the family meals. My aim is to help children learn in a warm, fun, calm environment. I also love animals, so any family pets will be loved and cared for.
My Experience
I have been working with children since I left school at 16, with my first job being at Marlow Day Nursery doing a childcare apprenticeship at Henley college. I have over 20 years experience working with children. I have a NVQ 2 with Diploma. I am an experienced, confident driver, I have been driving for 20 years. I have nannied for children aged 4 months to 15 years. I have worked in children's entertainment as a professional face painter for 16 years. I am a mother, so I have had newborn experience and my daughter is SEN, so I have experience with Autism and anxiety in children.
My daughter is now grown up, being 19 years old. I need to do an up to date first aid course, which I will complete at the earliest convenience, however I am fully experienced and equipped with years of knowledge to deal with any medical emergencies.
My Qualifications
NVQ 2 Childcare and Education with Diploma with a distinction.
My Availability
I am looking for families needing support in the afternoons. My daughter and I run a housekeeping service together, so we can also offer housekeeping for local families. We cover general housekeeping and changing beds. I would be happy to arrange both housekeeping and nannying for a family, if they also require housekeeping services.
