About Me
I’m a final year medical student with have a keen interest in paediatrics and hope to become a GP in the future, with a special interest in child health.
I am confident, chatty, friendly and love interacting with children. I am very comfortable with children of all ages and am happy to look after them independently. I believe I bond very well with children from my first encounter with them, and I like to think that they feel very safe with me and are free to express themselves freely through creativity and play.
My Experience
I worked as an au pair (live-in nanny) in Rome in 2021, caring for a 3-year old girl independently whilst her parents worked. I formed a great skillset in caring for her by: educating her, playing with her, developing her skills in English language development and arts and crafts, and providing basic care such as cooking for her, helping with toilet and hygeine and putting her to bed.
I have an 18 month-old niece who I have helped raise since she was a newborn. I frequently take her on days out independently, and also look after my fiances 5 and 8-year old nephew and niece often. Additionally, I worked on the NICU for a month in summer, looking after critically ill neonates and infants in a medical setting.
When I was in school I taught music to SEN children and have completed placements at SEN schools whilst at medical school, so I also have experience in looking after SEN children.
I am very comfortable around children of all ages, from various backgrounds with a range of needs.
My Qualifications
I have a strong educational background, including 3 degrees (MBChB Medicine, MSc International Public Health (Sexual and Reproductive Health) and BSc Biological Sciences), 3 As at A-Level and 9 A*s and As at GCSE-level - I have experience in tutoring also, so I would be happy to help your child with homework if necessary.
I have an updated enhanced DBS and am fully trained in: first aid, intermediate life support (both children and adults).
Through my work on placement as a student doctor I also have a varied medical skillset.

I have lots of free time around placement, particularly on evenings and weekends
