I'm Sam, an experienced early childhood teacher from New Zealand.
I have a passion for child development and adore working alongside children. My nannying position has recently come to an end with G4 starting school. I am now in search for my next long term role and am taking temp work nannying/babysitting until I find that perfect fit!
In my own time, I love being amongst nature, hiking and creating through various forms of art, mostly painting and drawing which I also enjoy sharing with the children I work alongside!
My Experience
I'm a qualified and registered early childhood teacher with over 12 years of experience working with children 3 months to 6 years old. I'm particularly passionate about supporting children's emotional needs and take pride in my ability to be attuned to individual children's needs and support them accordingly. I'm confident with all care routines and have experience working in Reggio, RIE, Pikler and Steiner philosophies which I am able to lean into as per families needs/desires. I also have experience working with children with diverse needs and am comfortable doing so.
My Qualifications
I hold a bachelor's degree of teaching (early childhood education). I also hold a current DBS. I am certified in child protection, circle of security parenting, RIE foundations, and I'm currently studying towards a holistic sleep consulting certification. I've held my first aid since 2013, however this now needs renewing.

I'm fairly available at this point, with some temp work booked in ahead of time.
