About Me
My name is Katy and I am the childminder at Wise Owl Childcare. I offer a nurturing, home-from-home setting inspired by Hygge and The Curiosity Approach with a strong connection to nature.
I am fascinated by and have a deep understanding of child development and the Early years Foundation Stage. My passion for music is reflected in how I facilitate learning to make it fun!
My Experience
I have a wide range of experience and knowledge working with children with Special Educational Needs, including severe learning difficulties, Autism, ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorder, PMLD, challenging behaviour and developmental difficulties.
My Qualifications
PGCE Primary Education with QTS
Bachelor of Music degree
Paediatric First Aid trained
Introductory Training course (Ofsted recognised) - working with EYFS, recording development, safeguarding, developing learning and managing a childminding setting
Designated Safeguarding Lead trained
Operation Encompass trained
Makaton level 1 trained

Monday-Thursday 8am-4:30pm (earlier arrival time can be discussed)
