Family means everything to us, and Oscar is at the heart of it all. We’re very hands-on and dedicated to making sure he has the best care, support and opportunities to thrive. Due to his additional needs, we’ve become strong advocates for him and are actively involved in working alongside professionals to support his development.
We value kindness, patience and open communication, and we’re really hoping to find a childminder who feels like an extension of our family, someone we can trust, build a genuine relationship with, and work closely with to ensure Oscar is happy, safe and well supported.

My Requirements
I am currently looking for a kind, experienced childminder who can offer a warm, home from home environment for my little boy, Oscar, who is currently nearly 11 months old.
Oscar is a happy, loving and determined child with complex additional needs. He has a diagnosis involving brain development differences. Because of this, he requires a higher level of care and close supervision throughout the day.
Oscar thrives in calm, nurturing environments and benefits from gentle interaction. He can struggle with posture and coordination, so needs support with positioning and engagement during play. Busy or overstimulating settings can be challenging for him, which is why a smaller, quieter childminding setting would suit him best.
He is under various specialist teams and attends appointments, so we are looking for someone understanding and flexible, who is happy to work alongside us and any professionals involved in his care.
Ideally, you will have experience with additional needs (or be open to learning), and be patient, attentive and genuinely caring. The most important thing is finding someone who will provide a safe, supportive and loving environment where Oscar can feel secure and continue to develop at his own pace.
