My Summary
About Me
Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, with innate curiosity. I want to gain value in experiences with childcare to support my pursuits in becoming a psychotherapist.
With a multi-cultured background, I have lived experiences with neurodiversity and mental health conditions within my family system. Born in Chiang Mai, Thailand and moved to England when I was 5 years old (20+ years ago). Thai was my mother tongue and English is now my native language.
? More about me
I enjoy all forms of creative expression; currently I am pursuing creative writing and journaling. I am in a Global Majority writing group for Women at the Arnolfini, we meet monthly.
I love meeting people and building connections; drawing and collaging; cycling on my city bike; visiting different cities and trying new things. I recently acquired a sewing machine from my Nan and I intend to make and personalise my clothes!
Friends and family describe me as quick-witted, compassionate and caring, with the ability to make people feel at ease.
Professionally, I have experiences working in purpose-led sectors such Mental Health and Anti-Racism.
Please do ask me any questions. Happy to arrange a face to face call, I am flexible to different communication styles preferences.
My Experience
Currently doing weekly Nursery pickups for a 2-year old toddler in Bedminster. We spend quality time together decompressing with no screens before bath and bedtime.
I've had various experiences looking after children. As an eldest daughter and grandchild, I grew up with children at least 6 years younger than me so looking after younger cousins was something I grew up doing naturally.
Outside of family experiences, I have babysat and stayed overnight looking after babies, children, and toddlers aged 6 months - 11 years.
During secondary school, I worked for the charity Barnardo's that ran as an after school club in my primary school. I spent time with neurodiverse children and children with disabilities. I found the experience incredibly rewarding and..FUN!
During this time, we would have day trips to play parks and farms, as well as cinema trips. I made and prepared snacks for children and occasionally meals depending on the structure of the day. This role required knowing the nuances to a child’s needs, a challenge I enjoyed. I leaned in on my strengths in creativity and curiosity. I led creative play times such as singing lessons, playing the piano, painting, and colouring. For example, I would draw outlines and create material for the children to use during creative play time.
Art therapy is an interest I intend to pursue facilitating!
My Qualifications
BA Marketing - First Class Hons at UWE Bristol
3 A Levels : Classical Civilisation, Sociology, Business Studies
11 GCSEs : Including Further Maths, Triple Science, Graphic Design, Art, and French
My Availability
I am pretty flexible and am looking for adhoc gigs too, I would like the structure of a 9 - 5pm for most days. Evenings will be dependent on location as I don’t drive and live in Brislington.

Accessibility to external childcare creates a cost barrier for parents in lower socio-economic backgrounds. I am happy to discuss suitable pricing structures for those who may need it!
