Hi! My name is Julia and I am a current MPhil in Education student at University of Cambridge. I am hoping to do some babysitting/ part-time nannying while I am here studying. I have over 10 years of childcare experience and can provide flexible, last minute, or routine childcare. I prefer working with babies but I am happy with children up to 15 years old. I am fun, responsible, creative, easy going and very reliable. I have experience both babysitting/nannying and teaching and am comfortable in a plethora of settings. I have newborn experience and experience with multiples. I am more than happy to put you in touch with any of my many references!
My Experience
I started babysitting regularly when I was around 15 years old and have continued both as a part-time and full-time job since then. I spent a year as a live in nanny (au pair) with a family in the Netherlands who had two children. I have also worked all summer at an overnight children's summer camp for 10 summers. The children range from age 6-16. I taught at a preschool for a year (kids aged 8 months- 2 years) and then went on to nanny for one and then two infants (starting at 10 weeks old).
My Qualifications
I am first-aid, CPR, and lifeguard certified. I also am in the process of getting a DBS check but because I am from the United States it takes a bit longer. However, I have an up to date background check from the US.
My Availability
My schedule is relatively fixed with class all day Wednesday (10 am - 6 pm) and occasional class Monday afternoons. Otherwise, my schedule is virtually wide open.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
My only extra fee would be a charge for more than 3 kids at a time in which case I would add 2 pounds/ hour/ child.
