About Me
I am a Ofsted registered childminder with over 10 years experience across EYFS/early years ages. I have a passion for the outdoors and am inspired by Hygge and child led learning. My setting has ample outside space which we utilise to support the learning outcomes and emotional regulation of all children. The outside area includes a mud kitchen, water and sand play, gardening beds, basket swing and space to ride balance bikes.
I strive to provide varied experiences and visit local parks, groups, libraries as well as taking advantage of the many beaches, woods and attractions right on our doorstep.
The home setting provides a warm and welcoming environment in which resources are regularly rotated to encourage engagement and promote learning.
I am a married Mum to 3 teenage children and we have a pet cat and spaniel dog (pets have their own separate area within the house).
My Experience
I hold qualifications in Teaching and Learning, Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding and Food Hygiene and have over 10 years experience working within schools/nursery settings.
My skills and knowledge set includes Makaton, use of visuals, Read Write Inc and phonics and early maths skills.
