About Me

My name is Gill, I’m a mum of two, my daughter is 6yrs and my son is 3yrs old. I live in Lancaster and have always lived in the area. We also have a little old dog named Betsy, who’s very friendly. We enjoy going on walks, doing arts & crafts and visiting local playgroups, parks and farms.I became a childminder because I love spending time with children and wanted a job that’s rewarding and fits in with my life.
My setting is based in the Hala area of Lancaster. I offer a safe, nurturing home-from-home environment for babies and toddlers from 3 months- under 3 years old. (until they are approaching their third birthday). Families will need to make alternative arrangements by the end of the term after their child turns 3 years old or before.

My Experience

I am experienced with little ones as I have two children myself and have cared for my nieces since they were 6months old. I also have 19 years experience Fostering and have experience caring for children with special needs.

My Qualifications

I have knowledge of EYFS and my NVQ level 2 in Health & Social Care, my Safeguarding & Child Protection Certificate, a Food Hygiene level 2 certificate & I’m trained in Paediatric First Aid.

My Availability

I have a space for Tuesdays and Wednesdays 7.45-17.45 all year round starting in September.

My Fees

  • Childminding from £6.00 per hour

I accept 30 hrs Funded Childcare for 9 month olds.
I offer full days only.
30hrs stretched to 2 full days all year round.
Closed for Bank Holidays.
Private rate of £60per full day only until child turns 9 months old and funding starts.
Tax free childcare available when paying private rates for babies under 9 months.
I accept 30 hrs Funded Childcare for 2year olds.
