About Me
Hello!
My name is Kuan-Jung Chen, and I am a qualified Mandarin teacher and experienced nanny with over six years of teaching experience. I did my Masters degree in art at Manchester Mentropoliten university.
I am easygoing, and responsible and enjoy working and always provide the best of myself. I enjoy teaching and giving a happy lessons to children to learn new language via playing.
I have taught both online and in-person, and previously worked at Tzu Chi Chinese School in the UK as a Mandarin teacher and Activity Coordinator. I also have experience teaching young children Mandarin through play-based learning and creative activities.
In 2024–2025, I worked as a private Mandarin tutor and nanny, caring for and teaching a three-year-old boy. Within three months, he progressed from not speaking Mandarin at all to being able to hold simple conversations — an achievement that highlights my patient and engaging teaching style.

My teaching style is warm, interactive, and tailored to each child’s personality and interests. I use songs, stories, games, and hands-on activities to make learning Mandarin enjoyable and natural.
I also believe in nurturing kindness, curiosity, and confidence in every child I teach or care for.
