My Requirements

Nanny/cook needed in Farringdon for 1-2 days a week (ideally just looking after our daughter one day and cooking / helping around the house as needed / providing backup coverage for nursery on the other day)

Would look to increase days in the future depending on candidate availability and interest

Role details:

Location: Farringdon, London

Hours/Days: Can be flexible on days between Monday and Thursday (whatever day works best for the candidate). Hours would be 8am to 6pm.

Main responsibilities:

Engage the child in age-appropriate developmental activities and play

Prepare nutritious vegetarian meals and snacks for the child

Follow the established nap and meal routine

Change nappies and maintain hygiene

Keep nursery, play, and kitchen areas clean and organised

Provide daily updates and a handover at the end of the day

Support with child’s laundry

Prepare healthy meals for the family (along with cooking for the child)

Assist as an extra pair of hands in the home as required

The ideal candidate will:

Have strong experience with toddlers

Be warm, engaging, and confident with children

Be comfortable in a home with parents working remotely

Be punctual, reliable, organised, and flexible

Communicate clearly and respectfully with parents

Stay calm under pressure and be happy to help with varied tasks

Non negotiable requirements:

Paediatric First Aid certificate (current)

Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain)

Excellent references from previous childcare roles
