About Me
I am a fully Ofsted registered childminder with over 19 years’ experience working in childcare. Little Nest Childminding opening January 2026. I have recent experience of working in a Montessori setting and hope to bring some of this theory into my childminding setting, I have also achieved accreditation status in Hygge in the Early Years. I hold a full clean driving license and have my own car. I live with my husband Mark, and our young children Thomas and Ivy. Both my husband and I have a DBS enhanced disclosure certificate. We live in a reasonably sized house with a large garden, I have a range of educational toys for all ages, a large selection of story books and lots of creative equipment. I pride myself on being friendly, reliable, approachable, hardworking and flexible, while your child/children are in my setting they will be cared for, supported and encouraged to reach their full potential.
My Experience
I have over 20 years experience working in Childcare, I worked in private day nurseries until 2011 when I first set up as a Childminder, I ran a very successful business until 2023, when an opportunity arose for me to work in a Montessori setting but after 2 years gaining new experience I am returning to Childminding, home really is where the heart is.
My Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 Childcare.
NVQ Level 3 Support learning and teaching in schools
Diploma Level 3 Early Years Education.
Designated Safeguarding Lead Training.
Pediatric First Aid
As well as many more qualifications which I am happy to discuss at a viewing.
My Availability
I am available Monday to Friday, either term time or all year round.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
Government Funding for 9 months, 2 years and 3-4 years.
£5.50 per hour outside of funding.
