My Summary
About Me
Hi, I’m Isabella!
I am a 23 year old graduate who is looking to pivot into childcare after doing a degree in Politics and International relations at the University of Aberdeen.
I am half Italian and was born and raised in Aberdeen. I attended Aberdeen Grammar School from 2013-2019.
I am semi-fluent in Italian and also understand some French.
I am currently living at home in the Kittybrewster area with my parents and my dog, Rosie.
My hobbies include art, swimming, movies and I have a keen interest in Politics and Current affairs (and historical affairs). I received a First in my dissertation around the topic of Political Psychology.
I am kind, caring, sensitive, funny and intelligent and have the ability to level with a child in terms of play and imagination, in fact I thoroughly enjoy it.
I also understand the importance of boundaries and being firm when needed.
I am also very flexible and accommodating and am happy to work with children who have additional needs/autism/adhd.
I plan to work in childcare as a long term career and I am hoping that you will give me my first real opportunity to get on the career ladder.
I hope you will consider me as the right fit for your child!
My Experience
-Work Experience at Rocking Horse Nursery where I entertained & was responsible for multiple children of toddler age.
-Took on the role of paired reading with a younger child whilst at school where I would help them develop their oral & visual reading skills twice a week for a year.
- Have done casual babysitting in the past for children of friends.
My absolute passion is childcare- specifically early years development and trauma-related and ultimately something I enjoy greatly.
My Qualifications
-I am a soon-to-be graduate from the University of Aberdeen in Politics & International relations with a 2:1.
-I have decided my passion is childcare.
-I plan to take up babysitting whilst I complete a Level 5 (SCQF) course in Childcare.
-Long-term plan: work for a year in a nursery once I get my Level 5 qualification, before hopefully securing a job working with refugee children.
-School Education: 6 National 5's, 6 Highers & 2 Advanced Highers.
-Received A's across levels in subjects such as English, History, French and Modern Studies.
