Hello, I am an enthusiastic individual who has a passion for learning and development. I am degree educated, currently progressing my career and qualifications in youth development and education. I have been an NHS employee for over half a decade and have experience in delivering dignified and empathetic care for a wide variety of demographics in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and Aberdeen Children's Hospital.
My Experience
I have experience through Street Sport Aberdeen and Active Schools Aberdeen, these are charities that aim to deliver an outlet through sports. Through this service we work with challenging young people at times that require emotional support on top of sports education. This has developed my empathetic communication skills and the ability to tailor my approach to each child, developing trusting relationships and fostering a safe environment. Through working within the Aberdeen Children's Hospital I have supported children within the radiography department from newborns to teenagers and understand the importance of upholding dignity and privacy framework and supporting individualism and respecting parents or caregivers wishes.
My Qualifications
I have up to date Life Support and First Aid training through the NHS. I have also completed GIRFEC and Children's mental health certificates through Street Sport Aberdeen and Active Schools Aberdeen - two charities I volunteer with that provide Sports Coaching and Development for young people in the City. I have my own vehicle, clean driving licence flexible schedule and up to date Disclosure Scotland checks.
My Availability
My availability can be discussed and I am flexible to days and times. Unfortunately, I am only available to work every second weekend.
