Monday Nanny / Housekeeper – Alderley Edge

We are looking for a kind, caring and reliable nanny/housekeeper to join our family on Mondays, looking after our 4-year-old son, Theo, alongside some housekeeping duties while he is at school.

About Theo

Theo is 4 years old and is in Reception at Alderley Edge Community Primary School. He has epilepsy and a developmental delay, so we are looking for someone who is caring, patient and confident in supporting a child with additional needs. Experience with epilepsy or children with additional needs would be desirable, but most importantly we are looking for someone warm, responsible and willing to learn about Theo and his individual needs.

Theo is a very kind, happy and playful little boy. He loves playing with cars, reading books and having fun. He is a lovely child who enjoys engaging with people and having someone to play with.

The role – Mondays

7:45am – 5:45pm

Morning

* Arrive at 7:45am
* Help Theo get ready for school
* Prepare breakfast and make sure he has everything he needs
* Take Theo to Alderley Edge Community Primary School

During school hours

* Housekeeping and general cleaning around the house
* Laundry, tidying, changing beds and other general household tasks
* Ideally keeping the house organised and ready for the family to return home

Afternoon

* Collect Theo from school at approximately 3:15pm
* Bring him home and spend time playing and engaging with him
* Read books, play with cars and enjoy age-appropriate activities
* Prepare and give him his dinner
* Look after him until we return home from work at approximately 5:45pm

We are looking for someone who is:

* Warm, kind and genuinely enjoys spending time with children
* Reliable, trustworthy and responsible
* Patient and calm
* Confident caring for a child with additional needs, or willing to learn
* Comfortable following Theo’s epilepsy care plan and any instructions provided by us
* Happy to combine childcare with housekeeping duties
* A good communicator who will work closely with us as a family
* Ideally experienced as a nanny, childminder, teaching assistant or in a similar childcare role

A driving licence and access to a car would be important for the school run.

We are looking for someone who would enjoy becoming a trusted and valued part of our family and who can provide Theo with a fun, safe and nurturing Monday each week.
