About Me
I’m a 32-year-old Londoner with many years of childcare experience, now returning to nannying part-time while I go back into study. For the past seven years I’ve been running my own creative business, which has been a wonderful experience, but I’ve decided to change direction and retrain as a Somatic Trauma Therapist, which is work I feel deeply passionate about. I first began caring for children in my teens and have never lost the joy I feel around little ones, so I’m really happy to be returning to childcare alongside my training.
I’m warm, friendly, creative and confident, and love creating a calm, fun and engaging environment. I’m also a qualified yoga teacher and trauma-informed care practitioner, which supports my grounded and nurturing approach. I’m ideally looking for 3-5 days a week, but I’m flexible with days and times and can work to a set schedule or changing weekly rota for the right family.
My Experience
I started working with children in my early teens and continued regularly through my mid-twenties across a range of nannying and babysitting roles. I have strong experience with newborns and babies, including supporting new mothers and caring for twins (including newborn twins). I’m confident with all aspects of daily routine, from naps, bottles, bedtime and playtime, to school runs and after-school care.
I’m naturally calm, playful and practical, and enjoy planning creative, age-appropriate activities, as well being a very outdoorsy person, keen to get out and about in nature whatever the weather! I’m happy to support with household tasks, meal prep and maintaining a smooth daily rhythm for both children and parents.
My Qualifications
I don’t hold a formal childcare qualification, but I have strong practical experience and can happily provide references. I have previous first-aid training and DBS checks, which I am willing to renew if needed. I’m also trained in yoga and trauma-informed mindful practices, which support my calm and grounded approach.
My Availability
Ideally I'm looking for 3-5 days per week, between Tues-Sat, but I am flexible and happy to adapt my schedule for the right family. I have full flexibility on hours/timing.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £20.00 per hour
- Nannying from £20.00 per hour (gross)
Minimum £20 per hour, with flexibility depending on hours and responsibilities.
