My Experience
I was a full-time carer for approximately four years to my father, who suffered with epilepsy. I was responsible for personal care, cooking and cleaning, shopping, and taking care of my younger brother. I also provide weekly support to my auntie by helping care for her two children who have ADHD and ASD. This includes assisting with daily routines, managing challenging behaviour, and providing emotional support to both the children and their parent. In addition, I regularly help my grandad by cleaning his home, as he is unable to do so himself. This involves maintaining a tidy and hygienic environment and supporting him with general household tasks.
